Well, so far this week, things have gone pretty well. Ricky got in trouble on Tuesday night, so the house has been fairly stress free and kind of quiet. I didn’t realize just how much I stress about when he is outside, getting into Lord knows what. At least when he’s grounded I know where he is!
It was testing week at the school. The kids said it was easy, which is good to hear. Last year didn’t go so well for Caiti. She was really upset when her results came in in August. I’m a little concerned on how Ricky did. His teacher has been discussing holding him back because of social skills and behavior issues.
Wyn has been such a little pill all week long. She has gotten into everything from here to the other end of the house. It doesn’t matter if I’m watching or not it seems. I think part of it has been that she’s sore from her teeth all coming in, and she’s frustrated. Brae is fussy too — she has the flu, and she can’t seem to sleep well.
I’ve been talking to the other kids all week long. Cian is having quite the adventure with her Captain Jack Sparrow. She comes up with the greatest stuff. Audrey is fiesty – she made me laugh when she tried to keep her sister from playing with her playdo (“I touched it, and I’m sick, so now you can’t touch it!”). Kierdan is a little busy body.
Chuck’s been working a lot of overtime this week. He got home after 7 almost every night this week. He’s beat. He even worked for 3 hours today … I’m glad he napped when he came home, he needed it!
I’m still sick of course — but as someone once told me, Moms don’t get sick days. So of course … I’ve been cooking and cleaning like normal. You kinda have to, at least to keep up with the laundry!
Mom starts physical therapy this week. I’m a little nervous. She’s supposed to be only on the brace now, but it still seems so very painful for her, that I don’t know that PT is the best thing yet. She says she can feel pain in the clot areas. I’m hoping that the extra activity doesn’t throw a clot. That would be the last thing we need.
I’m trying to get myself motivated to get some leads for my event company. I just can never seem to get out of my funk and get stuff done. I always get more energy at night, and Lord knows thats not when businesses work! Maybe next week
Well, I’m off to do more diaper duty
